Germanwings has released the following update after reports were made yesterday that the pilot was locked out of the cockpit before the crash and reports this morning by French authorities that it was intentionally crashed by the plane’s co-pilot.
We are aware of the shocking statements of the French authorities, which reported the copilot of the aircraft crashed it purposely. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the families and friends of the victims.
On Tuesday, Germanwings Flight 4U 9525 from Barcelona to Düsseldorf crashed over French Alps. The flight was being operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft, and was carrying 144 passengers and six crew members.
Note: Photo is not of the crashed plane, but another Germanwings aircraft.
