Rachel Wobeter, the University of Iowa Museum Studies student will offer a speech on Iowa City’s food history. The program will take place at Iowa City Public Library at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20.

She will present photos of Iowa City from 1830 to 1990 and share historical notes about the town’s early grocers and many brewers.

The program will be held as part of part of “Wow: Weber on Wednesday” which is a month-long annual celebration in honoring Iowa City’s unofficial historian Irving Weber.
