A reception for National Missing Children’s Day Poster Contest winners and honorees will take place at the State Capitol Rotunda on May 15.
Governor Terry E. Branstad, Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds, the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s (DPS) Division of Criminal Investigation’s (DCI) Missing Person Information Clearinghouse (MPIC) will recognize the winners of the competition.
Nearly hundred students from seven schools of the state joined the poster contest. In the posters, the winners drew the harsh realities of child kidnapping, and their everlasting hope for a safe return for missing kids. Compassion for the lost and missing youth of the country was pictured through art.
