The University of Iowa College of Dentistry White Coat Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 8 in Room C20 Pomerantz Center on the university campus.

The first year of dental school for students at the UI College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics will be closed through the event and they will transitions to the responsibility of second year.

At the event, the students will be formally wrapped with their first white laboratory coats and will take the Oath of Dentist.

Dean of the college David Johnsen will speak at the ceremony while assistant dean for patient care and professor of pediatric dentistry Michael Kanellis will present the keynote speech.

Students of UI College of Dentistry and families, faculty, and alumni will join the White Coat Ceremony.
