Today, the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship announced that they are responding to six probable cases of the bird flu (HPAI) in commercial poultry farms located in both Sioux and O’Brien counties.  These six new cases would bring the total of bird flu cases in Iowa to 34.  According to the Iowa Department of Agriculture, state officials have quarantined the locations and if bird flu is confirmed, all birds on the property will be euthanized to prevent the spread of the disease.
