The University of Northern Iowa has announced to host its seventh annual Panther Pick Up on May 7-8. It is an old stuff collecting project that aims at helping both the environment and community.
Some students throw their old stuff and unwanted household items, among which usable items will be accepted at pick-up sites on the campus. The collected materials will be sent directly to the local community.
On the Panther Pick Up, St. Vincent de Paul and The Salvation Army trucks will be available to take donated clothing, dishes, furniture, carpet and other usable household items.
Panther Pick Up locations are east side of Redeker Center, 23rd Street near Commons Circle, east Towers and northwest corner of Campbell Hall. Agency staff will accept donations from noon to 4 p.m. on May 7, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 8.
Students who do not live on campus can donate their unusable materials by calling St. Vincent de Paul.
