CDS Global announced earlier this month a business process outsourcing partnership with The Atlantic, working with the publication on order and customer management solutions to support the magazine’s print and digital content offerings. CDS Global is providing The Atlantic with full-service magazine fulfillment, including digital marketing services, multichannel customer service, mailing services and circulation analytics.
The Atlantic, which has been around since 1857, has evolved into a multimedia brand, focused on a coverage of politics, business, technology and culture. According to a press release, “The Atlantic has defied the media industry’s prevailing declines in both print and online. Single-copy newsstand sales jumped 17 percent in the second half of 2014, and traffic to TheAtlantic.com has reached record levels, with October to December 2014 the strongest three months of consecutive traffic in the site’s history. The Atlantic had record revenue in both advertising and events in 2014, and is poised to continue that growth this year.”
CDS Global will provide capabilities supporting digital content entitlement and digital marketing services, including online customer acquisition, up-sell offer presentment and automated transactional order emails. Additionally, the company will integrate information from The Atlantic’s supplemental database and digital content entitlement vendors.
